WPPasteKit or HTML Page Publisher: publish static HTML or connect your design to WordPress?
The short version
HTML Page Publisher publishes HTML as standalone static pages for free.
WPPasteKit turns your original AI-generated HTML into a complete WordPress site with shared elements and content fields, from €49 once.
Choose the free publisher for standalone HTML; choose WPPasteKit for a design connected to your menus, blog and plugins.
Two approaches
HTML Page Publisher
HTML Page Publisher publishes an HTML file or ZIP as a standalone static page, normally under /pages/name/. You can also use it as a homepage or on a subdomain. The design runs outside your theme. The plugin provides its own sitemap inclusion, canonical settings and shared scripts for analytics or a cookie banner. A canonical tells search engines which address is the main version of a page. It also includes an HTML editor, version history and image management.
WPPasteKit
WPPasteKit works as a plugin with any theme, the standard package that determines your site’s design and layouts. There is no need to switch themes. “Make this my site” separates a complete design into a header, the shared top section, page content and a footer, the shared bottom section. Those shared elements also appear on the blog, archives and 404 page. A builder is a visual environment for assembling pages; WPPasteKit does not require an extra one.
Your navigation becomes a real WordPress menu, and your news cards can display real posts. Editors get a separate screen for content, images and repeatable rows, while raw HTML remains available only to administrators. You still write ordinary blog posts in Gutenberg, WordPress’s standard editor.
Comparison
“Not stated on its site” means the information used here does not describe the feature. It is not proof that the feature is absent. Prices below are as of 30 September 2026 and may have changed.
| Feature | HTML Page Publisher | WPPasteKit |
|---|---|---|
| Approach | ✓ Static HTML at its own URL. | ✓ Plugin: your design as a complete WordPress site, without an extra builder. |
| Keeps your own design HTML | ✓ Publishes your HTML as a static page. | ✓ Retains original markup and classes; fixed elements become dynamic. |
| Works with your current theme | ✓ Runs outside your theme rather than using it for the page. | ✓ Works with any theme; no switch required. |
| Header and footer across all pages | ✗ No shared WordPress header and footer. | ✓ From your design, shared across regular pages, blog, archives and 404. |
| WordPress menu in your design | ✗ No WordPress menus within the static page. | ✓ Real WordPress menu in your design’s styling. |
| Blog and news in your design | ✗ No WordPress posts within the page. | ✓ Real posts in your own cards, with archives and pagination. |
| Clients edit without code | Not stated on its site; not established in the information used. | ✓ Separate screen for Editors; text, images and repeatable rows. No ACF required. |
| Form in the design’s form area | Not stated on its site; not established in the information used. | ✓ Fill the form area with a form from Gravity Forms or Contact Form 7, for example. |
| Yoast and other plugins | ✓ Own sitemap and canonical support; Yoast does not work here as it does on ordinary WordPress pages. | ✓ WordPress handles titles, metadata and analytics, with tools such as Yoast and GTM4WP. |
| Later design changes | ✓ HTML editor with version history. | ✓ Paste revised code; no new conversion into a theme or builder. |
| AI costs or external service | Not stated on its site; not established in the information used. | ✓ No WPPasteKit API key, AI charges or external service; choose your own AI chat. |
| Standalone static publishing | ✓ Separate URL, homepage or subdomain; shared scripts and version history. | ✓ Focuses on connecting the design to WordPress elements within your site. |
| Interface language | Not stated on its site. | ✓ Dutch and English. |
| Price | ✓ Free plugin. | ✓ One-time: Individual €49 / 1 live site; Agency €149 / 20 live sites. 12 months of updates and support. |
When all twenty live-site slots are used, WPPasteKit Agency works out at €7.45 per site. Both licences include twelve months of updates and support. Renewal at a reduced rate is optional: your site continues working without it. You can use the WPPasteKit prompt in a free AI chat; any paid AI service you choose is a separate expense. Paid form or other plugins, if used, are outside the WPPasteKit licence.
Three practical situations
A temporary promotion
Static publishing suits a standalone offer with its own URL. HTML Page Publisher provides that for free. If the page will later need your WordPress menu and news posts, WPPasteKit’s approach is a closer fit.
Showing your latest news automatically
A news card in static HTML does not update when you publish a WordPress post. WPPasteKit fills your design’s cards with real posts, with archives and pagination.
You already use Yoast
HTML Page Publisher handles sitemap inclusion and canonical settings through its own features. WPPasteKit leaves page metadata to WordPress so you can use your existing Yoast and analytics workflow.
When should you choose HTML Page Publisher?
- You want to publish an existing HTML page at its own address for free.
- You want static pages with their own analytics snippets and version history.
When should you choose WPPasteKit?
- Your design needs to show real WordPress menus and recent posts.
- You want to manage metadata and analytics through your existing WordPress workflow.
- Your client needs to change content without editing static HTML.
Frequently asked questions
Can HTML Page Publisher display my homepage?
Yes. It supports homepage use and publishing on a subdomain, as well as a separate page URL. That does not turn the static page into a design with dynamic WordPress menus or posts.
Does a static page have no SEO features?
It does. HTML Page Publisher supplies sitemap and canonical features. The difference is that Yoast does not operate as it does on a normal WordPress page, while WPPasteKit uses the standard WordPress environment.
Can I move from HTML Page Publisher to WPPasteKit?
If you have the original HTML/CSS from your AI design, optionally with JavaScript and related assets, you can paste or import it into WPPasteKit and click “Make this my site”. WPPasteKit does not turn widgets or builder blocks back into HTML. This is not a promise of automatic migration of every existing page, setting or content item; check those separately.
Do I have to keep paying for WPPasteKit?
No. Individual costs €49 once for one live site; Agency costs €149 once for twenty live sites. Twelve months of updates and support are included. Without optional renewal, the site keeps working but further updates and support stop. Prices as of 30 September 2026; they may have changed.
